First is first in liner shipping

KEEP YOUR EYES IN THE STARS AND THE FEET ON THE GROUND

Container carriers' overall reliability finished at 66.4 percent in the first three months of the year, according to SeaIntel . Bigger ships, less ports of call, etc... have led to a number of known bottle-necks.

While this happens "The Economist" states  that shipping and logistics business is going to be transformed by digitisation. What is the priority ? Sorting out TODAY's operational constraints or investing in FUTURE (??) tools. Two important Maersk Line's shareholders have it very clear, as Splash 24/7 reports : The line management should grant ships to sail on time. Ambitious tech projects should be a second priority.

Some clients state, that complaints to carriers take nowhere .This means there is some frustration in the market . Again some more room for 3PLs, specially in reefer .
