What is the meaning of SPECIALIZATION in reefer logistics ?

Rafael Llerena, CEO Easyfresh states . "Specialization and adaptability are the basis of sound business developments in reefer logistics"

The logistics of perishables require focus and dedication. These goods demand a clear vision of a per 1) commodity, per 2) trade leg and ultimately, per 3) customer taylor-made transport solutions, together with a 24/7 follow up .
In fact, in Economy, a  key decision facing workers, firms and nations is what goods to produce. The economic concept of specialization helps to answer this question. Under specialization, economic actors concentrate their skills on tasks at which they are the most skilled. Specialization has both, micro- and macroeconomic applications.
Time ago, Adam Smith, the 18th-century Scottish economist and author of "The Wealth of Nations", illustrated the benefits of specialization. Smith understood it as  a division of labor when describing a pin factory, in which each worker performs a single specialized task.
Likewise when it comes to nature, specialization is extremely relevant, too, being one of the paths of evolutionary progress.
In logistics, to be specialized in a concrete arena (reefer logistics) increases output because workers do not lose time shifting among different tasks. Moreover their specialized know-how allows them to deal correctly with the adequate reefer logistics solutions. In fact workers with specialties are more likely to innovate, to create tools or to make their tasks even more efficient.

All in all, shipping and logistics business need an answer to increased competition and rapid evolution. And that's why so many businesses are turning to specialization. This statement is mentioned by Larry Alton in an interesting article published by Forbes and titled : "5 Reasons Modern Businesses Are Turning To Specialization" https://www.forbes.com/sites/larryalton/2016/12/20/5-reasons-modern-businesses-are-turning-to-specialization/#7e11d0be4a29

In other words ; specialization and adaptability are the basis of business developments in reefer logistics.
